About The Emblem

It encourages the Girl Scout/American Heritage Girl to look at how she participates as a member of her home family and her parish family. By exploring the various forms and kinds of service to parish, self, and others, the Scout learns to Live Her Faith in everyday life.

Eligibility

Registered Junior (or Cadette)/Explorer Scout of Catholic Faith. The Scout must be between 9-11 years old. The I Live My Faith medal is designed for Junior Girl Scouts and Explorer American Heritage Girls in grades 4, 5, and 6.

Requirements & Ordering Project book

Each Junior (or Cadette)/Explorer scout must have her own Project Book. This book can be purchased directly from the Knoxville Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting for $6.95 each including shipping, you may also order the I Live My Faith prayer card for $.50 each, make check payable to KDCCS and send to the address below or by contacting us at the following; Catholic Committee on Scouting.

Program Completion

It is encouraged that upon completion of the I Live My Faith Project book that the girl be given the opportunity to reveiw its contents and what she has learned with her parish priest or representative. The parent/guardian will need to send the application to the address below.

Please complete the application and mail it along a check for $14.50 made out to KDCCS.

Award Ceremony

The emblem will be presented to your Girl Scout/American Heritage Girl at a formal ceremony and Mass. This will be cordinated with the pairents and the chairman of the Catholic Committee on Scouting in conjunction with the parish priest as to date and time of mass.

If the award is presented as a group the Unit religious emblem cordinator will work with the Catholic Comittee and parish to set up the date and time for presentation.
